Favorite Medill Memory
“My most memorable experience in the Medill Washington program was the first time I set foot in the White House. I was so excited to ask Press Secretary Jen Psaki a question in the briefing room and, later, watch from the South Lawn as the president and first lady landed in Marine One. The MSJ program gave me unparalleled access to public officials and encouraged my pursuit of powerful accountability journalism, including my Medill Explores story on the disproportionate effects of the opioid crisis in urban Native communities, which was cited on the congressional record in April. Most of all, I will remember how my classmates, professors and mentors shaped my graduate school experience. Lots of love to my entire Medill family.”
